Coronavirus Update

Lost your fitness mojo recently? We know the feeling.

But we have some great news; all are clubs in Ireland are now open and we are moving ever closer to the reopening of the rest of our gyms.  The announcement by the Prime Minister on the lifting of restrictions on the hospitality industry is a great step in the right direction. We are now fully geared up for any announcement on the reopening of our gyms in England and Wales.   We hope this will be in a few weeks’ time.

As a locally owned business, we’re not just a gym, we’re a community and we take the health, safety and wellbeing of our members and staff very seriously and want to be transparent with our plan.  We are actively following the official guidance and are making some changes to create a safe training environment.  We feel positive about our plan and can’t wait to see you back where you belong at énergie Fitness.

Protect & Clean

We have a comprehensive health, safety, and cleaning plan.  We will undergo full sanitisation prior to opening. Once open, we will be increasing the frequency of cleaning in all areas of the club, changing facilities and toilets as well as anything that is commonly touched (e.g. door handles, card readers and equipment).  We will be providing all our staff with personal protective equipment including face masks and we will be making hand sanitiser readily available for all.

We want to keep you as safe as possible. So, we have created a new set of guidelines for using the gym – but will need your help for them to work. There are four golden rules:

  1. Don’t come in unless you are completely symptom-free.
  2. Stay 2m away from other members.
  3. Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly.
  4. Clean your workout space and equipment after use.

If we all work together as a community, we can still get the feel-good factor and feel safe and full of #positiveénergie at the same ¬time

Controlling Capacity

Where possible we have developed new layouts with the right spacing and/or will have the right amount of equipment available to ensure we can maintain safe social distancing.  We will be updating our app to enable members to see live capacity and our booking system has been developed to help manage capacity and tell you when we are busy and when we are quiet.  All these measures will ensure that our clubs won’t be overcrowded, and we are confident that we are best placed to manage our capacity and ensure all our members feel looked after, happy, and safe.

Keeping Healthy

Meanwhile, whilst our buildings remain temporarily closed, this doesn't mean you need to stop exercising. Maintaining regular exercise can boost the immune system, improve metabolic health and reduce anxiety. To keep you active, we are offering access to live interactive classes, premium on demand workouts, training programmes as well as tips, challenges and inspiration.  Check out what our clubs are offering and get involved today!

What are my membership options?

As a franchise business, each of our clubs has developed options specifically for their membership base. Please contact your club directly to discuss your options.

Are all clubs open as usual?

All our clubs are temporarily closed until further notice. We thank all our members for their ongoing support at this difficult time.

How long will we be closed?

Following guidance from Central Government and Public Health England in relation to COVID-19, our club will be temporarily closed from Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice. At this stage we don’t know how long we’ll be closed. We’ll only re-open again when it’s safe to do so.

Can I book classes?

Whilst the gyms are closed no classes will run and all class timetables have been suspended. We will be offering access to online classes via our social media channels.

What happens to my Personal Training sessions?

Please get in touch with your personal trainer directly. Many are offering remote / virtual sessions so you may be able to still go ahead with your session.

How can I stay active without access to my gym?

Maintaining regular exercise can boost the immune system, improve metabolic health and reduce anxiety.  To help you during our temporary closure we will be sharing tips, ideas, inspiration and ‘join-in classes’ on social media to keep you active and connected to our club, so make sure you follow us.

What if the situation changes?

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide regular updates via email and an on our website. As this is a fast-moving situation, we may need to make further changes and we will update you if this is the case.
