Coronavirus Update: 12.04.2021

As a network of locally owned clubs, we take the health, safety and wellbeing of members and staff very seriously. Following guidance from Government in relation to COVID-19, we have now started to reopen our clubs in a staggered region approach.  Don't worry though, if your local gym is not yet open, you can still join today to be ready for when we reopen.

Following guidance from Central Government in relation to COVID-19, all English énergie Fitness clubs are now open will full social distancing measures in place.

Welsh Clubs:

Following guidance from the Welsh Government in relation to COVID-19, all Welsh énergie Fitness clubs are set to reopen on 3rd May 2021 will full social distancing measures in place.

Irish Clubs:

Scottish Clubs:

Following guidance from Scottish Government in relation to COVID-19, all Scottish énergie Fitness clubs are set to reopen on 26th April 2021 will full social distancing measures in place.

We have a comprehensive health, safety and cleaning plan in place to ensure the safety of members and staff, while maximising the opportunity for our members to return to fitness.

We will be increasing the frequency of cleaning in all areas of the club, changing facilities and toilets as well as anything that is commonly touched (e.g. door handles, card readers and equipment).

We will be providing all our staff with personal protective equipment including face masks.  We will also be providing members with contactless entry and making hand sanitiser readily available for all.

We want to keep our members as safe as possible. So, we have created a new set of guidelines for using the gym.  There are four golden rules:

  1. Don’t come in unless you are completely symptom-free.
  2. Stay 2m away from other members.
  3. Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly.
  4. Clean your workout space and equipment after use.

If we all work together as a community, we can still get the feel-good factor and feel safe and full of #positiveénergie at the same time.

Controlling Capacity

We have developed new layouts with the right spacing and equipment in use to ensure we can maintain safe social distancing. We are also limiting the number of members who are allowed in a club at the same time.

The énergie App has been updated to enable members to see live capacity and check when we are busy and when we are quiet.  We are also asking all members to book a slot via our updated booking system.  Each slot is for 60 minutes which will ensure that everyone has a fair chance to use the gym.

All these measures will ensure that our clubs won’t be overcrowded and all our members feel looked after, happy, and safe.

If your club is not yet open, this doesn't mean you need to stop exercising. Maintaining regular exercise can boost the immune system, improve metabolic health and reduce anxiety.

To help keep our members fit and healthy, we are offering access to our digital fitness offering, énergie Online.

Designed to keep you motivated, active and rewarded directly from home, énergie Online gives you direct access to the very best in live classes, premium on demand workouts, educational wellness webinars, delicious, healthy recipes as well as exclusive discounts to some of the leading products within the industry. You need nothing more than a laptop or a smartphone to get involved and keep active.

Will I need to book a time slot to visit my gym?

Yes - to follow government guidelines and keep you safe, we must limit the number of members who are allowed in the club at the same time.  This means that we are asking all members to book a slot via our updated booking system within the members area of the website or the énergie App. Each slot is for up to 60 minutes which will ensure that everyone has a fair chance to use the gym. Please no not come to the gym if you haven’t made a venue visit booking.

Can I book more than one space per day?

Unfortunately not – to make it fair for all members, you will only be able to book one session per day.

How far in advance can I book my scheduled time slot?

You will be able to book an advanced scheduled time slot of up to 48 hours. You will not be able to book a time slot beyond 48 hours simply to make it fair for all members to have an opportunity to book their own slot.
